100 reasons to keep going
Haaretz is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary, still remaining the most significant, fresh, liberal and progressive media brand in Israel. For Haaretz, this is not only an opportunity to “thank the readers”, but to launch a series of meaningful content delivery on various subjects, spanning through the entire year. We collaborated with them to create a platform on which these content pieces will be communicated, and open opportunities to existing and potential audience.
Open thinking
The idea derives its core from Haaretz’s original brand essence: starting out as “Newspaper for thinking people”, on to simply “for thinking people”, and as of this year “open thinking”. We created a new signature, a logo for the anniversary, an agile visual scheme, and a clear form of messaging – thinking ______ openly.
Open letterform
Working on the project, we felt the need for a unique letterform that will evolve from the original Haaretz logo into a full type specimen font, with multiple weights – one that can uniquely hold the content and tell in a way that is seamlesy connected to the mother brand.
Spread the (spoken) word
To enhance the message, we engaged in creating a groundbreaking provocative “spoken word” piece that communicates Haaretz’s world view through relevant and updated delivery form.
