Creative Brand Writer

Brands tell a story. They do so in many ways: sometimes they need good old copywriting. Other times they need storytelling, shaping their tone of voice or creating a fresh one with clear guidelines. This, among various other writing and toning treats, is what a Creative Brand Writer does.

We’re looking for people who love words and understand what makes a story, characters, and voices. As a CBW you will craft the verbal personality of brands, to communicate their identity and essence. You will write in different voices to different audiences. Whether it’s brainstorming ideas for company and product names, coming up with strategic slogans, writing websites and microcopy. Basically, you help brands and people connect through language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand, company, segments and product naming.
  • Crafting brand language guidelines according to client strategies and brand identity.
  • Creating a verbal platform with key messages on which a brand can base its voice.
  • Distill brand essence into effective, pithy messages.
  • Draft brand stories and content.
  • Website writing and microcopy.

Key Qualifications

  • Passion for storytelling. Understanding the nuances, depth and importance of characters and voices.
  • Excellent text and info analysis skills.
  • Native level English, both speaking and writing.
  • Prior experience in content, content writing, marketing writing, or other related writing field.
  • Degree in a communications, journalism, or marketing (this is a bonus, but go ahead and surprise us with different degrees as well).

*We'll get in touch if you're a good match!
